Congratulations on your 100th post! I know the exact same feelings you've had and the frustrations associated with it. You're doing a great job.

This post idea was really inventive, and I can tell you put a lot of work into it. Thanks for linking to me as well!

Thank you very much - I appreciate the compliment!

It did take a while to put together, but it was fun too. I get to check out a lot of posts, plus I really enjoy helping those that have helped me.

I'm glad you liked it. I thought it might be a good way for everything to check out some new stuff they haven't seen.

Congrats on reaching this milestone. I can truly appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into creating content on a daily basis.

One of the unique things about your content that I like is the way you relate your ideas to the twenty-something audience with the LOTR and Nintendo references. As a reader, I can tell that you put alot of thought into your ideas and the way you convey them.

Keep up the good work and thanks for mentioning Checkbook Diaries!
  • The David · 9 months ago
Thanks! It is hard sometimes, but it's fun too (except when it's 11 at night and I can't think of a topic for the next day!). Plus I've learned a lot too, so it's only sped up my quest for financial security.

I'm really glad you like the style. I have to admit, it wasn't what I set out for. As I started writing, I realized that while I could write about things from a purely financial point of view, it was a lot more enjoyable to write about life while wearing financial glasses, if that makes sense.

It's more fun to write, and hopefully to read. Plus it helps give me a broad range of topics to pull from.

    Thanks for reading and commenting!

Way to go. It IS a lot of hard work. Sometimes it feels like too much. But then I get mentioned in a nice roundup like this and it helps to make it all worth it. The money is nice too. ;)

Congrats again on 100. Well done.
  • The David · 9 months ago
Thanks! It's hard, but very rewarding too. I haven't seen much money yet, but I feel like I'm improving my bottom line with everything I learn from the research I do. I try to apply the money lessons I learn, so they can pay off in spades with me still being 30+ years from retirement.

Plus I feel (or at least I hope) that maybe I've helped or inspired some other people, much like sites like Get Rich Slowly and I Will Teach You to be Rich have had life-changing impacts on me.

Thanks for your help and support!

YOU ARE AWESOME! What a huge amount of time you must have spent on your Extravaganza. I'm only about half way there and am majorly impressed all the time by what you've done with this site. Congratulations!
  • The David · 9 months ago
Thanks Andrea! It took a while, but it was a lot of fun to put together too.

Thanks for the kind words! It's stuff like that that makes this all worth while.

Congrats on your 100th post and thanks for the link mention. I think its great to just come up with your own Carnival to show your gratitude to everyone, a practice that should def occur more on all sites! Keep up the good work!
  • The David · 9 months ago
    Thanks!

It was fun to put this together. I come across a lot of stuff that should be in carnivals, so it was fun to give them the spotlight. I may have to do this more.
